At Mountain Dough Baking Co., we are passionate about creating delicious baked goods that bring joy and happiness to our customers!

We started out small and baking custom decorated sugar cookies out of a home kitchen in Durango Colorado in 2019.

As our reputation and local client base grew, we decided to open a bake shop in this wonderful community and Mountain Dough Baking Company was born on October 18th, 2023.  

Incase you didn't notice, we tore out and renovated the Subway sandwich location that had been here for 10+ years and turned in into our bright and beautiful bakery. And yes, we STILL get folks who walk all the way in and are surprised it's not a Subway all these years later!

We are a proud woman-owned local business.

Our owner has had roots in Durango for 30+ years since 1990 as well as

Fort Lewis Alumni Class of 1995.

We use only the freshest ingredients and take so much pride in every creation that comes out of our kitchen.  

All of our cakes are made from scratch to order and are the cornerstone of our business, as well as our custom cookies.  

We love to bake, decorate, and celebrate your special events and we had no idea our cake business would take off the way that it has.
